Live Entertainment:
Ellada
Florida's hottest and best live Greek Band. For centuries, Greek songs with their insistent rhythms have lured listeners to dance and celebrate happy occasions. Very few nations in the world have the musical variety of Greece. Every region, every island has its own form of traditional music, musical instruments, dances, costumes and customs. There are as many types of music in Greece as there are villages each more colorful than the other.

Tours of our Greek Orthodox Church:
The Orthodox Church is the first Christian Church founded by our Lord Jesus Christ and described in the pages of the New Testament. Its history can be traced in unbroken continuity all the way back to Christ and His Twelve Apostles. Incredible as it seems, for over twenty centuries, the Church has continued in its undiminished and unaltered faith and practice. Today the Apostolic doctrine, worship and structure remain intact. The Orthodox Church maintains that the Church is the living body of Jesus Christ, the fellowship of the faithful. Many of us are surprised to learn that for the first 1000 years of Christian history there was just one Church. It was in the eleventh century that a disastrous split occurred, resulting in the separation of the Western Church, under the Pope and the Orthodox Church under the Patriarch.

The Church is a treasury of accumulated experience and wisdom in man's attempt to relate to God. Those of us who cherish the Christian heritage have an obligation to pass it on to future generations.

Perhaps you would like to know more about the Orthodox Church and what is involved in becoming a participant in the spiritual life and worship. The inspiring Byzantine mosaic and fresco iconography by some the world famous artists will be explained in both terms of its religious significance as well as the intricate way the iconographer created these masterpieces. Orthodoxy proclaims the timeless Christian message of love, forgiveness, kindness and eternal life. Don't miss one of our Church tours during the festival.
